Once someone makes me angry, I'm usually pretty good at holding a grudge. It's not necessary something I'm proud of, but I'm honest about that teeny fact, and that's a positive thing, right?
And while we're on this subject, I'll confess that I used to be a huge "Bachelor" fan. I would watch and get all caught up in the pettiness of the contestants and the indecisiveness of the one who was handing out all the roses. As the shows continued to air, season after season, it became obvious that there were some things being controlled and decisions being made "for TV" purposes.
That turned me off.
And I stopped watching. I held that grudge against them and vowed to never view another showing of that stupid show again.
Then ... my darling YOUNG daughters caught wind of it when the most recent set of gals premiered on the latest set of episodes, featuring Jake, the pilot. Being girls, they ooh-ed and aaah-ed over the dresses and hair styles of the ladies stepping out of the limousines. And again, being girls, they remembered and reminded me each and every Monday morning that "The Bachelor" would air that evening.
We watched every week.
I know. Bad parenting. I'm aware.
But, we continued to watch. Faithfully.
As each of the women got picked off week by week and were not presented with a rose, my girls would cry. No, actually they would bawl. Hysterically.
I know. Bad parenting. I'm aware.
But, we continued to watch. Faithfully.
That brings us to this week. The last one. One the girls, Tenley, has been "the favorite" since the beginning for Emily and Molly. I'm afraid of what will happen when and if she is not chosen. Yikes. I am trying to cushion the blow that will create a meltdown in just a few hours with popcorn and ice cream. Yup ... A Bachelor Party! Whoo Hoo.
I know. Bad parenting. I'm aware.
Now that we've established that ... it has me wondering ... how many of you out there watch?
Remember ... I was honest and admitted it to you. Just sayin'.
Who's winning this thing?
Tenley or Vienna?
