Last week, I volunteered myself to participate in a challenge Julee was doing. She found an article in Women's Day that said, if you walk 6 days a week for 30 minutes per day ... in a month you'd lose a dress size.
Sounded good to me, so I left her a comment saying I'd do it with her.
Now, because I'm a failure at everything, I haven't started yet, though I said I would on Monday. But whatever. Thursday. Monday. Wednesday. What's the difference? As long as when I start, I stay consistent, which I WILL. I'm starting today. I really really am. I've got the MP3 player all charged and I'm going tonight.
My plan is to keep track of my weight, waist size, thigh size, hip size and bust size (it will be fun to see if that can get much smaller). I'll record each of the above every week and in a month, see what I lose and if it's indeed a dress (or shorts) size.
Julee informed us today that she lost 3 pounds in the last week.
Anyone else want to join us?
Next Friday I'll post a Mr. Linky with my Week 1 results and anyone who wants to participate can sign so we can see everyone's progress. And I'll do this every Friday for one month.
Come on ... the weather is nice ... let's get out and be healthy ... or whatever. Shoot, the kids would love a walk, or a bike ride, or a scooter ride ... or whatever it is you do! It's only 30 minutes a day ... JOIN US!!!
You can use the image on this post, linked to me (http://aniowamom.typepad.com), to invite your readers to join us too! I think I'm going to need all the motivation and pressure I can get.
