Some of you might be wondering where the heck I've been lately. Most of you probably don't care ... or haven't noticed. Whether you've missed me or not, I've missed you and can't wait to use part of this day to catch up on reading your blogs.
My mom and step-father have been here and we've been busy for the past 3 or so weeks. Since I only get a chance to see and visit with them about once a year, I've forced myself to shut down bloglines ... as hard as that was. We had a great visit, but it came to an end this past weekend.
As they drove away, Montana bound ... we literally packed up and took off for a two day, fun filled time at Adventureland. This trip is an annual tradition in our neighborhood. About 10 families all get together and go at the same time. We have T-shirts made and the kids talk about it starting 3 months before the event takes place and it's generally a good time to be had by all. Again, I forced myself to leave the laptop behind. Gosh, are blogs considered an addiction???? Sure feels like it.
Anyway, it was at this area amusement park called Adventureland that Jake found the newest member of our family ... he hasn't named him yet ... but he's become quite attached. If you have any ideas for the "perfect name" ... let me know. He REALLY needs a name.
A proud Papa ... he won him all by himself a little under an hour after we arrived at the park. Needless to say we were all a bit shocked. And me, a bit irritated as Jake grew tired of carrying him around so guess who got stuck trying to manage him and the stroller Molly was lounging in.
After a good lunch ... he went back to the hotel to rest. Thank God!
We are home now, but preparing for yet another vacation ... we will visit with hubby's side of the family and are all looking forward to it. So, if you notice that I've gone missing again ... don't worry, I'll be back.
