It's Been Officially Confirmed ...

I am raising a brat.  Or should I say, "we" are raising a brat.  Shoot, I'm not taking full responsibility when Big Daddy plays just a big a part, if not bigger, than me.

Saturday afternoon, we were returning from our first of two days at Jake's baseball tournament.  Due to rain, wind and cooler temperatures, everyone was wiped out.  Emily had a permanent scowl on her face for the majority of the ride home, which eventually ended up being replaced by a frown.  Molly, being the sweet sister she is tried to console her ...

"Emily?  What's wrong?  Are you sad because I'm so much prettier than you are?"

NOT KIDDING!  Those are the words that came out of her mouth.  I would like to say that I couldn't believe she said that ... but I live with her.

No one else will think this is funny.  But this isn't "no one else's" blog ... so I guess I get to post it if I want to.  :)

I found this in Jake's backpack, and it's something I don't want to forget or lose ... which I would if I don't post it RIGHT NOW!

A Week Of Photos - Friday

I would like to share with you the excitement my second child ... my baby boy ... displays when I call out that it's time to dye Easter eggs.  It's difficult to capture it all through the lens of a camera ... but I did my best.

Good Lord ... It's Always Got To Be About Her!

Alright ...

So we all know that Emily went to Kindergarten Round Up yesterday.  You saw the picture ... remember the one with the crapper in the background??

I'm sure most of you have figured out what Kindergarten Round Up is.  And if you haven't ... well I do understand that it's not something that you'd want to give much thought about.  I mean, really, your brain should be used in so many other beneficial ways .... so let me tell ya ... it just a bunch of preschoolers gettin' together before they graduate to the big league.

ANYWAY- I'm posting this because contrary to POPULAR BELIEF (ahem, BIG DADDY, ahem) ... I do love my daughter.  The little girl who is going to start kindergarten this fall.  The one I watched do the TOO-DEE-TAH this morning in front of a bunch of strangers and didn't give a flyin' fart who was watchin ... because according to her ... it was ALL ABOUT THE FUN! 

That was a little "slam" because parents were asked to participate and the 2 times she looked over ... I WASN'T DANCIN'.  And she called me on it (thankfully in car afterward).

So ... to make a long story short ... (well maybe not) ... the picture that she was asked to draw of a dinosaur yesterday came up and she made mention that I could share IT on my blog ... rather than a picture of HER, that I didn't take, and then it would all be good.  I know, either she is beyond her years or this blog is way too prominent in their lives.

But ...

Because it always seems to be about her ... I oblige ..

Here is the stinkin' picture of her drawing of some dinosaurs.  And ... I'm supposed to mention that the teacher told her to put the crayons down before she was done with her tree.  Apparently, that was very important ....

Now ... she can't say I've never done anything for her, right?

Oh ... one more thing .. is that brown dino on the left havin' a problem with his tail .. or is he just takin' a poop?

I think it's safe to say that Molly likes the camera.  Honestly, if someone were to follow her around 24/7 with one ... she'd not only be comfortable ... she'd be in heaven!

A Week Of Photos - Wednesday

My big girl on her way to "Kindergarten Round Up".  Of course, I was the only parent there without my camera.  Emily kept asking why I didn't bring mine, as she watched flashes coming from every direction with people taking shots of every move their little one made.  I admitted that I thought she'd much rather have a picture from home (with a toilet in the shot behind her) to remember her day at Kindergarten Round Up.  Right?  Hello? I mean really ... I AM always thinking of her, right?  Geez!

And this one ... well I just had to share it because I was a little freaked out at how comfortable Emily was wearing those big ol' honkin' glasses that the girls wear these days.  I am so in for it, I know!  The word DIVA keeps playing over and over in my brain.

I decided that since I have a lot to catch up on (I say that a lot, don't I?) ... so I would do a week of photos.  There is nothing spectacular about these photos ... just recently taken and wanting to share!

These are of Jake.  A gift from a friend was a lego set that made three different things.  Two down and one to go.  :)
