It's no secret that my third born wears glasses. If she doesn't, her one eye cocks in ... it's just a fact.
If you have been reading me for a while ... you remember this was a very scary time for us. The crossing of the eyes happened quite suddenly, so many believed it may be a brain tumor causing this to happen.
Short story ... it wasn't.
Thank heavens.
Glasses would correct the cross eyes. From the very beginning since Emily was young (age 3) ... we figured she should pick out her own glasses.
We wanted her to "love" them ... so she would "wear" them.
And that she did!! This is her first pair ...
And then her second pair ...
And just recently ... she picked out her latest pair ...
BAM!!!
HOLY COW!!!
I do believe she likes the color pink ...
Quite frankly, I think her glasses 'define' who she is.
Totally.
And I like it.
NO ... I love it.
And I think Emily does too.
Really.
But, as a parent, I always worry that she'll be made fun of ... either for her cross-eyes ... or her glasses ... and none of us want our kid to be poked fun at ... though it happens to EVERY KID at some point. Right?
I think it does ...
Anyway ...
This morning ... while each kiddo had their breakfast sitting in front of them at our kitchen table, Emily had to use the bathroom. As she got up and was walking away from the table, she looked back at her little sister, who was spying an extra waffle, and Emily said ... "I have FOUR eyes ... and they're ALL on you!!"
I don't think anyone is going to get the "glory" of making fun of my girl ... ya think?
