Leave it to one of my kids to end up getting sick during a string of snow days. Yesterday, while every other kid in the state of Iowa (and our family) was enjoying cookies, treats, movies, snow, sledding, etc ... Little Miss Molly enjoyed a nap.
A very long nap ...
Like, a "whole day" kinda nap ...
And then laid awake all night.
She is in rare form today. So, being the great Mom that I am, I promised we'd make cookies. I pumped her all up and had her all excited.
BEYOND EXCITED!
I thought I had made up for her missing all the other fun stuff the kids had done over the past three days ... and as she stood beside me in the kitchen, smiling from ear to ear, I was feeling pretty damn proud of myself.
Until I realized I didn't have all the ingredients to make the cookies.
Yeah ... Loser Mom strikes again.
Oh well, surely they're getting used to it by now.
