Our school district placed last week on the schedule for Spring Break. Unlike many families, we didn't do anything special. Didn't go on vacation. No short trip to the indoor water park. Didn't have company come into town. Like I said ... we didn't do much of anything.
Then, the children returned to school this week. On Monday when Emily returned from school, I found the following paper in her backpack. It was a sheet that each kindergartner was asked to fill out expressing what they WANTED to do over Spring Break ...

Ya know, if I would have known she wanted to get on an airplane and to go to Mexico, we could have totally done that ... right after we chiseled the ice off the pool cover so she could go swimming with her friend when we returned.
